Jose Lopez


	Jose' Lopez III was born July 6 th 1967 in Norristown , PA and grew up in rural Montgomery county PA northwest of Philadelphia . At the age of 12 he began playing Alto-Saxophone, switching to acoustic guitar by age 15. After high school Jose' enlisted in the Marines and served 4 years as a ground radio repairman. In 1988 while stationed at Camp Pendleton he met his wife Maria and they married in June 1989. In 1994 Jose began playing bass guitar full time in a volunteer ministry at his church. Jose', Mikki and Dave formed a band in early 2001 which after several incarnations and member changes evolved into the Factory Seconds Band. Jose' has two children, Nicole and Jonathan and lives in Oceanside CA. Jose's musical influences are diverse, ranging from James Taylor and the Eagles to Megadeth and Metallica. His favorite bass players include Geddy Lee (Rush), Chris Squire (Yes) ,Berry Oakley (Allman Brothers) ,Dave Larue (Dixie Dregs, Steve Morse Band), and John Myung ( Dream Theater ).He currently plays Ernie Ball Musicman and Sterling basses through a Genz Benz bass amp/speaker enclosure.
